Strange Rumblings With A January Tan

Got back from the Dominican
last week.

Returned to a blizzard, with the threat of a night in Thunder Bay hanging over our heads. Could Air Canada suggest, maybe, staying in Toronto for the night? Guess not. Maybe they felt that Thunder Bay would be a righteous punishment on all the tanned chicos and chicas that had been hanging out in Pearson all day...

Returned to a minority Harper Conservative government. Can't wait to see the cabinet. Check out Rick Mercer's blog for a balanced and fair and objective view of the potentials... Click here now... Be sure to check out his latest photoshop orgy o' fun, also.

Returned to a Liberal party that nobody wants. Frank, Brian, Allan, John. They've all said no. Of course, for more fun and games, they also said no before the contest has even begun...

Returned with a complete and utter case of writer's block. Can you tell?

Returned to a birthday I didn't want to face. The wife and the friends managed to make me smile and accept this whole forty thing with some grace and a vodka smile. Nice. Love you guys, he slurs while the bar holds him vertical...

Returned with a new appreciation for what we've got here. Except for the snow. Hate the snow. Hate it. Love the sand. Love the ocean. Love the sound of palm trees in the wind. But I really hate the snow.

Returned with a bit of a tan. My skin doesen't resemble parchment anymore.

Returned with a deeper affection for my wife. We travelled abroad, and she didn't kill me in my sleep.

Did I mention I was in the freakin Domincian?
